Happy Birthday Card

Hey guys! Today I'll be making a birthday card. This is a fairly girly card. Okay, okay. It's a totally girly card with pinks and purples and glitter. ;)

Materials Required
  • A pink card base measuring 4 1/2 X 5 inches ( I chose pink with golden stripes)
  • A piece of foam measuring 4 X 4 1/2 inches. I chose a purple colored foam.
  • A piece of vellum measuring 3 X 4 inches. Folded on the 3 inches side and to make a pocket.
  • Any stamp set. I used the crisis-cross hearts from Avery Elle's Simple Tags : Everyday.
  • Gold embossing powder and Versamark.
  • Some paper confetti to be filled in the vellum pocket.
  • Some rhinestones and pearl stickers.
  • Washi tapes.
Inside of the card
Pattern paper measuring 4 X 4 1/2.
A white card base 2 3/4 X 3 3/4.
Flower punches

Method
1. Emboss the purple foam with some heart stamps, gold embossing powder and Versamark. Stick the foam to the card base leaving some room at the bottom for the vellum pocket.
2. Take the white card stock and stamp the heart stamps on it using some Dusty Concord Distress ink. Then stamp the bow stamp under the hearts to create a string-like effect.
3. Attaché some gold thread under the bow to make the hearts look like balloons. Add some rhinestones and pearls with extra time embellishment.
4. Take the vellum piece and fold it along the 3 inch side to create a pocket. Add some glue to seal one edge. Fill it with paper confetti and seal the other end. Fold it across the foam piece and stick all of it on the card base.
5. Stick the gold 'happy birthday' sticker on the vellum pocket. I found these stickers in the Fevicryl Hobby Ideas store. Stick some Washi tape as well, if you please.
6. Tie a yarn at the top.

Inside of the card
1. Stick the pattern paper. And add the white card base on the left side.
2. Embellish with some Washi tape and flower punches.
