Lidded Gift Box

Hellloooo my crafty friends. Today I'll be making a gift box to hold a a cute little toy for my baby nephew. 

I'll be entering this in there plowing challenges :

For this challenge, I had to use four colours in my project :- light green, light blue, peach and lilac.

For this challenge, i had to add stripes to my project. I used stripes of washi tape for the lid of my gift box.

Materials Required 

A sheet of pattern paper measuring 8 X 11 inches

A piece of white card stock measuring 7 1/2 X 7 1/2 inches

A scrap piece of shiny cardstock

Two washi tapes

Alpha stickers and any other embellishments you like

Glue stick and yarn

A scoreboard 

Method

1. Score the pattern paper stock on the short side at 1 1/2 and 6 1/2 inches.

2. Score on the long side at 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2 and 10 inches.

3. Cut the smaller flaps (1 1/2 inch ones). These will be the first top and bottom of the base.

4. Stick the top flaps inwards. Now glue the skinny flap on the long side (1 inch one) to the other side of the paper. 

5. Stick the bottom flaps to create a box.

6. Score the white card stock (7 1/2 X 7 1/2 inches) at 1 1/2 and 6 1/2 inches.

7. Cut the outer score lines.

8. Fold and stick to create a box lid.

9. Embellish with washi tape, yarn and alpha stickers.
