Stool Revamp

I had been itching to redo this old stool in our house for ages. But i never got around to it. Finally, i got some time to work on it.

 Supplies needed
  • An old stool
  • One can of oil paint (any colour of our choice). I chose brown.
  • Sand Paper
  • Turpentine
  • Washi tapes (i used three washi tapes from the Lulupu Craft Store)
Method
  1. Sand the stool well to remove any worn out bits of wood from the stool
  2. Apply a small bit of turpentine all around the stool to remove any wood residue
  3. Add a coat o oil paint. Let it dry overnight.
  4. Apply another coat of the paint and let it dry as well. Make sure you cover all the areas that will not be wrapped by the washi tapes.
  5. Take the washi tapes that you want to use for this project and make your own patterns on the stool. I chose vertical stripes.
  6. Lastly, apply a coat of varnish and your stool is ready to be admired by everyone around. :)

(Don't ask about the PC cabinet. Sigh.)
