Recently, i got a set of food colour to make rangoli for Diwali. I was wondering what to do with the remaining food colour. I dabbled in a few things and realised that they can be used to make some really pretty coloured papers. All you need is a mug of water, some food colour and some thick paper. Drawing sheets work very well here.
Take a tray or a large plate and fill it up with water. Now add some food colour to it.
You can skip the soaking in coloured water part and just wet the paper and sprinkle some dry food colour on it as well.
The patterns will be darker and the colours intense.
The papers are ready to be made into diaries, for origami, as wrapping papers, etc. The icing on the cake is that these papers sort of have the texture of handmade paper (which i totally love).

Now soak the sheet of paper in this solution.
After 15-20 minutes. Gently remove this sheet pf paper and place it on a clean tray. Sprinkle some of the food colour on it.
Let it dry. Your pretty paper is ready.
