My first
blog post is on wishing trees for two reasons.
- It is the inspiration for this blog. The fact that I could create something that people liked gave me the confidence.
- Starting a blog with a post on wishing trees seems auspicious. (It is obviously my wish that this blog brings happiness to me and all those who read it.)
In many cultures, the concept of tying a thread/handing a
bell/any other souvenir to a tree is an age old tradition. Nowadays, we see a
contemporary version of the tree in weddings, birthdays and even during
Christmas. I tried my hand at making one during Christmas 2012. I changed the
concept a little and added some goals and aspirations in addition to wishes on
the tree.
Recently, I made one for a friend’s sister-in-law’s
engagement.
And another one for my grand uncle’s birthday.
